Ockershausen Outpost, est. 2024, is a Western style trading post in the center of the heartland, Riverside, IA. As you enter the 1880 building, you can examine minerals, gems, geodes, art, and jewelry. Most of the minerals come from the Outpost’s Wyoming federal mining claims and selective older collections. The jewelry is hand-crafted by local artists using these materials, primarily Wyoming jade and white opal. Enjoy the two fluorescent mineral displays built into the shop’s mine entrance.
